Another vote lost for BN
Referring to 'Too little, too late, unless...' (May 18) by Lisa Pang of Kulim, I would like to voice out that I have been a supporter of Barisan Nasional every since I earned my right to vote. The reason I voted for BN was because I thought it was capable of running the country.
Time and time again, even though there were blunders, I tended to forgive them and would still support them. As a Chinese Malaysian, I would turn a blind eye towards their wrongdoings as I believe that as long as I work hard enough I would do okay and would be able to meet the needs of my family.
But I was wrong...my beloved country's economy is being plundered at the fancies of the BN leaders. My relatives who are bright children excelling in studies are being discriminated against. My EPF savings have being misused. My 1.3 Proton Wira is overpriced (the same amount could have bought me a better powered and quality car elsewhere).
Today, I think BN has been in power for far too long. Just like the Labour Party in the UK that took over from the Conservatives, there should be a change in the ruling parties in Malaysia.
My only hope is that Keadilan works hard to convince me that the opposition party can rule and run the country better. Hopefully in the next election, my vote and those who are like me who would like to see changes in the country will shift to ensure a better tomorrow.
