Judge Mohd Hishamuddin Mohd Yunus will soon be a famous name. All Malaysians with a conscience will surely applaud the courage and conviction of this judicial officer who has taken it on himself to return a modicum of respectability and honour to the tarnished Malaysian judiciary.

A principled judgement based purely on justice and basic human rights, insulated from the ludicrous insinuations of prosecutors that are merely props for a demonic executive. The likes of Augustine Paul and Arrifin Jaka may yet learn a lesson on interpretation and application of the laws towards ensuring that justice and truth prevail.

For the executive, unfortunately, the painful lesson may be learnt only in 2004.
