I can see similar developments elsewhere. Petronas may buy into any or all of these: BP, Shell, Esso, Mobil, and Caltex. Tenaga Nasional may takeover any or all of the IPPs (Independent power producers). Telekom Malaysia may mull over the other telco's and ISPs (Internet service providers), RTM can also take over all TV and radio stations ... the possibilities are endless.

I am sure if it were possible Barisan Nasional would make a bid for the Barisan Alternatif parties too.

Now, that is capitalism and democracy a la Malaysia.
