No more garbage, please!
A few years back, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad had said he had all the evidence that his deputy is homosexual. Well, the public waited but there was not a iota of evidence indicating what he told to the public had any substance, except maybe a piece of smudged mattress being carried in and out of the courtroom.
Public confidence, especially of the Malays to the Numero Uno eroded. What has been preached was regarded as GIGO (garbage in, garbage out). And so, all the information reported by the instruments of propaganda to the public was regarded as GIGO.
Sales of mainstream newspapers plummeted and as did viewership of the electronic media whose audiences either switched off their sets when it was time for the eight o'clock news or stayed at the nearby surau to continue the Isya' prayers after the Maghrib prayers.
Public confidence continues to erode. After two years of the trial, the public has closed its senses to garbage. These were translated into the Barisan Nasional defeat in the Lunas by-election, the street demonstrations and the exodus of Umno members to Keadilan and PAS.
Ironically, the Umno leaders still could not comprehend why the public, especially the Malays despised them.
They started to blame the opposition party, the foreigners, malaysiakini , etc. These are the elements that instill public hatred of the prime minster and the government... so they say. They hardly reflected upon themselves what they had done and fed the public, i.e. garbage.
Lately, we are being fed by a series of new garbage by Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Will they ever learn that the public cannot afford to take in any more of these stinking garbage?
Where's the evidence? We need to see substance. Where is the rocket launcher? What militant separatist group? Which country of origin are the terrorist group from, that those detained under ISA are linked to?
This letter is not garbage. Read it and understand what the public (we Malaysians) want. Eventually, if you fail to understand this, the party will keep on churning GIGO leaders, literally speaking.
Let us keep the environment clean come 2004.
