I am an MCA member and I read malaysiakini with great interest. But it seems that you are quite lopsided in your coverage of the current controversy of MCA buying Nanyang Siang Pau and China Press . Dato' Seri Dr Ling Liong Sik is a sincere and honest Chinese leader who deserves the support of MCA leaders and members, as well as the Chinese community in general.

Under his leadership, MCA has done great service to the Chinese community in Malaysia, like setting up the Langkawi project, raising funds to help the Nipah victims in Negeri Sembilan and also upgrading Tunku Abdul Rahman college. MCA under Ling Liong Sik also helped the Barisan Nasional to retain its two-thirds majority in the last elections in 1999 when Umno was weak. Umno should forever be grateful to MCA under Dr Ling's leadership.

Let us forget our differences. Support Dr Ling Liong Sik and his team of able leaders to lead Chinese into a new era.
