The new generation of bumiputera accept the reality that Malaysia is a multiracial country destined to excel as a beautiful, peaceful, wonderful role model in the world, advocating humanitarianism, tolerance and harmony without compromising on the fact that this is a modern Islamic country.

These new dynamic bumiputera do not want to be dependent on others for their success in life. Anwar Ibrahim champions these modern proactive, rational and practical bumiputera. This ability of Anwar to read the pulse of the new generation of bumiputera will lead to his victory in Permatang Pauh, to eventually lead this nation.

The non-Muslims do not have any qualms in accepting the realty that this is an Islamic country as enshrined in the constitution, with provisions for multiracial, multireligious, multilingual and a multicultural co-existence. Non Muslims have never questioned the rights of the Malays in this country.

They were upset with some of the over zealous fanatical people who did not see the reality of co-existence of all Malaysians. Anwar also clearly read the pulse of the non-Muslims and that is why he initiated Parti Keadilan Rakyat which is open to all races.

Both the Muslims and the non-Muslims know that co existence as Malaysians is very critical for the success of the country, otherwise we will be negatively drawn backward amidst challengin information-technology based globalisation, individualism, empowerment, liberalism and humanitarianism.

Is it not silly on the part of some hypocritic self-centered people and political leaders to say that PKR leaders are betraying the Malay race? Anwar is the only bold visionary leader to see the picture in its correct perspective. Does he not deserve to lead us for his sincerity at the expense of being called a betrayer by cronies of those who have become billionaires at the expense of millions of down-trodden people?

It is so beautiful to see the new concept of PKR encompassing all races in the party talking a common language and having a beautiful vision and common destiny. It is so soothing to see Muslim leaders attending to non-Muslims’ issues and needs, irrespective of caste, creed and colour. In the process, PKR has dug the ground to bury the ugly racial politics of divide and rule in Malaysia.

Anwar’s fight is not against down-trodden Malaysians. His fight is against the cronies of this country who have widened the gap between the rich and poor. His battle is to see the freedom of the judiciary for all law abiding Malaysians. His struggle is to distribute the wealth of this country to all deserving Malaysians. His sacrifice is to see equal opportunities for all.

Anwar is the strongest fighter for the Malays. He has always asserted that he will never let down the Malay race. Unlike the cronies of those in power who have made the Malays poor, Anwar has a dream to see that the poor Malays are given what is due to them.

The Selangor government has already introduced the ‘Economy for all’ programme, in line with Anwar’s wish that the other races must also be taken care of.

He knows that history has repeatedly taught us that any race which is suppressed, will rise up to survive for its basic need to exist and co-exist in this world. That is why Anwar is bold to say “Malaysia is for all” without compromising the fundamentals of the rights of the Malays in this country.

Anwar has read the pulse of the people and the people of Permatang Pauh must give him a thumping victory.
