Everybody is given a second chance in life. But not many realise it. And those who do either take it for granted and demand for more or they become more humble in life.

In 1988, Anwar Ibrahim learnt the most bitter lesson in Malaysia. Something no man and absolutely no leader has thus far gone through. One would think after ten years of suffering, he would finally be free.

But God has to test him again physically, mentally and spiritually. God’s way is never easy to understand but one day, the answer will come. In the meantime, one has to carry on and do one’s best to overcome such obstacles.

Dr Mahathir Mohamad ’s era was not only about building grand structures for he also created corruption of the highest form in every way possible to destroy our unity, sanity, peace and wealth.

MCA, Gerakan, MIC, PPP and leaders from Sabah and Sarawak all have their share of free wealth, forgetting about the welfare of the citizens who put them there in the first place.

Time and again when they are exposed for their crimes and they spin all kinds of excuses and stories to cover up their wrong doings. Then God gave Mahathir a hint by way of a heart attack. Mahathir chose to ignore this and became crueler. Mahathir’s ego got bigger.

Then along came Pak Lah, who is not only more corrupt but does not care what happens to the stability of this country. When he was foreign affairs minister, there was little chance of collecting free wealth. So when the opportunity came when he became the prime minister, there was no stopping him.

Anwar, Mahathir and Pak Lah have been given a second chance in life and position but the latter two have become so self-centered that they have ignored it.

Anwar on the other hand, became more humble as each event against him unfolded. But my concern are the people around him who do not have us the interests of the citizens of this country at heart. We, the people, do not want another Barisan Nasional or Umno.

Right now, the woes facing this country are corruption in all government departments. The education system has gone down the drain.

Our judiciary has become a business centre. The division between the races is too wide. The AG and IGP are working hand-in-hand with the mob. These five problems are enough blight the future of the country.

Well, I hope and pray that Anwar Ibrahim has been given another chance in life and will take this opportunity to right all wrongs that have affected our daily lives.

A united race brings more wealth and happiness to all.
