Different states for different folks

I read with interest the recent articles and letters on the imposition of an Islamic state in Malaysia.
Hear me out on this. My feedback to the opposition leaders is that not one non-Muslim is comfortable with the concept.
The most viable alternative is to carve up Malaysian states into various, and I suggest as follows:
1) Kelantan, Terengganu, Perlis and Kedah to be designated Islamic states.
2) Penang to be made a free state, with no New Economic Policy, and secular, as Singapore is.
3) The rest of the states and the Federal Territories to continue as it is, and secular.
All Malaysian citizens are free to move to wherever they feel comfortable. They can choose the states that practise the values closest to their own.
