Is the home minister home?
Ten days after Tian Chua's fiancee Mabel Au was barred entry into Malaysia, the home minister had no knowledge of the reasons behind it ('Decision on Au's deportation made by Immigration: Pak Lah', July 30).
Hello? Isn't he the home minister? Is an incident that is reported all over the world not important enough to warrant his attention and knowledge?
He went on to speculate that there may be "a number of different reasons". And added, "I don't want to speculate on a subject I don't know".
I would like to ask the honourable minister, what does he actually know or is he really in the dark as he claimed to be when the police arrested the Keadilan and reformasi activists under the Internal Security Act (ISA)?
If he is in charge of the home ministry, he should make it his business to know. He is just a joke and a good one too, because I had a good laugh after reading the news.
