I refer to the letter, 'Using ISA on "militants" justified' (Aug 11), in which JTB supported the use of the ISA on members of the Kumpulan Mujahidin Malaysia (KMM).

Our Prime Minister, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, is always telling us that there are foreigners waiting to recolonise us. If what Mahatir says is true then we must remember that it was the Mujahidin in Afghanistan who waged war on the Soviet Union when it tried to occupy it in 1980.

Since according to Mahathir our country may be recolonised at anytime, we should then encourage all Malaysians to join the KMM so that we may be prepared to oust any foreign power foolish enough to attempt the colonisation of Malaysia. I hope our local version of the Mujahidins will be as vicious as the Afghans in kicking out the Soviet invaders.
