I refer to the Malaysiakini report on IGP files suit against Anwar.

I am tired of the developments of the last two weeks. It sickens me to the bone.

The Inspector-General of Police Musa Hasan, has filed a defamation suit against the ‘Prime Minister-in-waiting Anwar Ibrahim’ for reporting the current IGP’s involvement in the alleged fabrication of evidence against Anwar during the ‘black eye’ episode of 1998, in alleged cahoots with the present Attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail who is expected to file a similar defamation suit very soon.

I, as a layman, surely cannot be faulted to think that the IGP’s suit is manifestly unsustainable, simply for the reason that Anwar is currently still in the midst of providing evidence to the ACA on his claim - unless of course, all the ‘loose ends’ have already be wrapped up within the police force and the AG’s chambers organisational and operational structures.

How can the top law enforcement officer think he can short-circuit the ACA’s investigation by prematurely filing a suit against Anwar for defamation arising from a police report made by him?

If the AG follows suit in the next few days, this simply proves that the entire institutions at the top level of government are rotten, rotten, and even more rotten to their very core.

The IGP's action is a continuation of the power-centric mindset of the top officers of the various organs of government, and it is not unreasonable to interpret this as another sign that power has gone to their heads, and this power abuse can only portend disaster for us the rakyat, in the very near future.

Gone is the concept of accountability to the rakyat.

I am personally aware of matters pending before the courts for over 13 years with postponement after postponement through the various courts simply and just because the plaintiff is fighting well-connected persons who have ‘arranged’ matters (how could it be otherwise?) all the way through and within the various courts.

Confidence in the judiciary? Confidence in the AG’s chambers? In the police? We need a complete transfusion of all top brass and all government and Umno leaders.

The government to do this transfusion and transformation is not the present BN government.

I refuse to be further trampled.
