Try being in others' shoes

I am writing in response to Abdullah Mohd Zin's, 'Secularism is not neutral' (Aug 21). Some Malaysians may have very little idea on the various discriminations non-Muslims face, such as the kind of prejudices and 'inconveniences' churches and temples encounter. No matter the assurances in Islam or the Constitution with regard to the freedom and right to practise one's religion, the fact remains that man being imperfect will always corrupt perfection.
