I am quite unhappy with Kunta Kinte's letter 'Berating Israel is like the pot calling the kettle black' (Sept 7). First of all, just because Malaysia is seen to be racist by the writer, that does not make Israel any less racist.

Secondly, the term he uses "The pot calling the kettle black" is in itself a racist statement. Perhaps Kunta Kinte should research where the saying originated from.

When the writer laments the non-bumiputra's lack of rights, he is in fact promoting racial tendencies himself. It make him just as bad as the people whom he calls racist. Is he trying to get sympathy? Well, he is not getting any, certainly not from me.

It's the case of the Pied Piper leading the rats out of the city into the river. Who do we blame for the death of the rats: the piper who led them to their demise or the rats for following him?

Everyone should realise by now that life is not fair. If it was meant to be fair, why do Indonesians and Bangladeshis come to Malaysia and work for a pittance under appalling conditions while Malaysians get paid much more?

What was their crime? Being born Indonesian/Bangladeshi?

Life waits for no one. If we are going to sit around and complain of the life that has passed us by, and that change - which is much needed - is not possible in our lifetime, you will get exactly what you asked for.

Life is not in the past, it is in the future.
