I have been following the tragedy in America through the television and the Internet. One woman's comment still echoes in me.

While most people were describing the horrors of the situation then, she instead said, "I don't see buildings. I see people. I see children who will be without their parents tonight..."

I have children of my own and that statement touched me the most.

The media over and over again compared the tragedy to Pearl Harbor, at the devastation done by their enemy to them.

To me there was no Pearl Harbor but I see Hiroshima and Nagasaki where greater devastation took place, where far more complex planning and time to decide took place. Worst of all there were still other options as opposed to using the bombs.

In Hiroshima alone, some 80,000 people were dead or missing and some 40,000 more injured. Two days later the second bomb was dropped and many more perished.

Compared with the towers and the number of casualties, can you imagine the magnitude of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki tragedy? But we didn't see people at that time, we were shown the big mushroom cloud and the ruined cities.

There was no mass media coverage then for the world to see the devastation that really happened or to feel the inhuman act that was committed.

Many rejoiced, they too didn't see the people because they only saw the War. They didn't feel the loss of human lives who had no say whatsoever about their government's actions in other parts of the world.

The US has more nuclear bombs now and other weapons capable of mass destruction. It is ready to use them again.

This means it is ready to justify (the loss of 'enemy' civilians) their reasons again in pursuit of their objectives. They see targets as towns or cities but not people. The same way that these terrorists saw New York City as America and not the American people.

For now we will blame the terrorists for their terrorism in New York. The US will get even with their cruise missiles and bombers. All will be justified as legit military operation.

Remember this the next time you clap your hands when you see buildings in other parts of the world crumble.
