Razak Baginda has yet to convince us
I refer to the Malaysiakini report Abdul Razak: Najib not involved .
Finally, Razak Baginda has spoken and exonerates Najib Abdul Razak and his wife from being involved in the gruesome murder case of the Mongolian woman.
But his press conference does not satisfy the cynical public about the non-involvement of the powerful couple in the murder case as one cannot understand why two UTK special police force officers who were attached to the deputy premier’s security detail were charged in court for the death of the young Mongolian woman.
During the last by-election in Permatang Pauh, the Mongolian Honorary Council in Malaysia, Syed Abdul Rahman stated categorically that the deputy premier was not involved in the gruesome murder case but still the skeptical voters did not buy this bait and gave Anwar Ibrahim a bigger majority compared to his rival from BN.
This speaks volumes about the credibility of our leaders who have cried ‘wolf’ for so many times that the people don’t believe what they say anymore regardless of whether it is the truth or not.
The Malaysian public are not stupid who swallow hook , line and sinker what Razak Baginda says as his version of the truth is full of lies and deceit in order to save his skin and those of powerful individuals who have made it possible for him to taste freedom after being incarcerated in prison for more than 22 months.
Yes, the high court had acquitted Razak Baginda of abetment in the gruesome murder but the court of public opinion is still not satisfied why this former girlfriend of the political analyst had to die in a gruesome way and as to the story behind the killing.
Razak Baginda must not assume that people who read the news from the Internet rather than from the mainstream media are all morons who cannot think for themselves. Our politicians and their cronies are well-known for dubious deals running into billions especially when it comes to buying expensive weapons and arms from overseas market through middlemen (Razak, of all persons, should know about this better).
Raja Petra, a well known blogger who was incarcerated for a short while under ISA has given a sworn statement that the deputy premier’s wife was present with the two army officers when the deceased body was blown up with C4 explosives.
The missing former private investigator P Balasubramaniam’s first statuary declaration implicates the deputy premier with the murdered victim but he reversed his decision later due to reasons best known to himself. To all eyes, there are too many pieces of a jigsaw puzzle in this high profile case which still cannot fit.
Whatever it is, Razak Baginda can shout to all and sundry that he is innocent and the deputy premier and wife are innocent but the cold fact still remains that a foreign woman was killed and blown to pieces while the murderers and their accomplices are still not found guilty yet.
This high profile case has caught the world’s attention and it is not good for the nation’s justice system if people, especially foreigners, think that our justice system is flawed whereby the rich and powerful can buy their freedom.
Rest easy, Razak. Hopefully your conscience is clear and you can close this dark chapter in your life and move on. But the law of karma has a mysterious way of getting back at you for the sins that you have done in the past. Sleep tight and may Allah swt forgive your previous sins in order for you to face the next chapter of your life as people are not convince of your innocence just yet.
In the meantime, let us wait for the court to hear the case in the coming months and hopefully the two accused can shed some light on what really happened on that fateful night when the murder took place. And who really ordered them to do the killing. Stay tuned.
