I agree with what Tan KH's letter, 'By all means, absolve Hitler too', (Sept 20). If there is no USA, the world could have fallen into either communism or rule by terrorists.

Terrorists and their supporters justified the attacks on USA by blaming the latter's foreign policy. Historians and other so-called foreign policy experts even suggested that it was USA's involvement in Vietnam, the bombing of Iraq and acting as big brother to Israel that makes people hate the Americans.

If USA had not fought in the Vietnam war, Asia would have come under communist rule. If there is no Desert Storm, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and smaller Arabs states would have fallen into Saddam Hussein's hands. If USA has not acted as big brother to Israel, either Israel would have wiped out the Arab states or being wiped out by the Arabs themselves.
