DAP finally quits BA? Everybody is putting up a brave face but let's call a spade a spade. BA has lost its credibility and who is gloating? The corrupt BN of course!

May be BN is right after all. These BA guys will fight like cats and dogs even before they could get a realistic whiff of success. What a bloody joke.

Between the corrupt in BN and the greedy and potentially corrupt in DAP and Keadilan; and the (perceived) PAS Islamic zealots, we don't have much choice really.

I for one have never ever thought that PAS could cooperate with DAP but they did, despite much opposition from staunch Muslim supporters of the party. You could say anything about PAS but one thing they are excellent at, is getting their supporters to solidly back whatever their leaders' decisions are.

PAS supporters have been given the runaround by their leaders. At one stage they were asked to agree to a coalition with BN, and then with Semangat 46 and then DAP and the poor chaps were bending over backwards trying to please all their partners' whims and fancies despite their obvious contradictions to whatever PAS stands for.

(Remember PAS support of Semangat 46's opposition to BN's curtailment of rulers' rights and more recently PAS defence of Suqui's demands to please DAP, just to name a few)

It is disheartening to see that despite numerous 'ideological sacrifices' by PAS, all and sundry still look at PAS with suspicion and wariness at best. And I must again congratulate BN for its success in painting PAS as a party of Islamic zealots hell bent on dragging Malaysia back to the Stone Age. And DAP is swallowing it, lock, stock and barrel!

Let's be frank, what the DAP is really afraid of about PAS leading the government is the cutting of thieves' hands, killing of apostates, stoning of adulterers and discrimination against women etc.

And I must say that if these are the Islamic bogeymen that are your nightmares, I can say to your chauvinist faces that you are just as idiotic as some of the poor Muslims who do not support PAS.

This is not the place to discuss the finer points of Islamic syariah of course but as they say 'seek and ye shall find the truth'.

I'm sure there will be more byzantine shenanigans and unholy alliances in the future, but let's face it boys. You screwed it up this time.
