I have been overwhelmed by the kind of information I've seen on television since Sept 11. But perhaps the most disturbing was the footage of Indonesians praising the actions of Osama bin Laden. They were celebrating the tragedy of Sept 11. These people are uneducated and I wonder if they realise what this is all about. I cannot begin to emphasise that this is a war against terrorism and not Muslims. How hard is it to understand this?

But what frustrates me even more is that I've learnt through an undisclosed source that even educated Muslims in Southeast Asia are happy about the tragedy that hit America. Don't they get it? Killing 6,000 innocent people is not something that anyone of any race or religion should be happy about.

It wasn't even a fair war! We were not ready for their attacks. Obviously Americans can't just sit back and pretend this did not happen. People are so ridiculous and in this circumstance, highly idiotic.

I am a Malaysian and proud to be one but the fact that there are other Malaysians out there feeling good about this makes me sick and honestly disappointed with my fellow "educated" Malaysians. Of course, all of you are my friends and I am in no way accusing anyone of anything. This is obviously a sensitive subject and should be taken just as an opinion in a time of uncertainty.

I am proud to report that even the Arab Americans here are embarrassed by what has happened and are doing everything they can to show that. They are uniting with Americans of every race, colour and religion. Being American is not about being Christian or White. It is about a nation living and sharing.

US President George W Bush repeats at every press conference that this is a war against terrorists, a war that they initiated, not a war against Muslims; so why are certain Muslims rejoicing?

It's hard for me to find a cohesion in my heart between the venom and the passion, the grief and the greed.
