I am fully in favour of Hashim Saari's, 'Pas, stop promoting violence', (Oct 15). Even though I am not a Muslim, I supported PAS all this while until they called for jihad against the Americans and the British.

The Sept 11 attacks were no accident. It affects lives of many nationals including Malaysians. While Islam is about love, compassion, tolerance and respect for all, PAS has not dealt with the actions of the terrorists.

PAS is not stopping their members from joining the 'Taliban Regime' in jihad . What is PAS' justification for a jihad

jihad will not automatically grant you a place in heaven.

This is not the type of motivation young Muslims should be brought up with. We all learn to be tolerant, loving and caring and in a civilised society, we should channel our feelings in a civilised and proactive manner.

We hear from all quarters condemning the attack on Afghanistan. Let us get to the root of the problem and work out constructive measures to overcome it.

This , however, does not justify and qualify that a jihad should be launched. All Muslim should strongly voice out against PAS' leaders call for a jihad .
