I am quite appalled about Ahmad Rizal's 'Separation of powers, solution to restore positive Perception of Islam' (Oct 18) where he suggests that there should be a separation between government and religion.

What the writer failed to see is that Islam is all about government, politics, administration, etc. There must not be a separation at all, in an Islamic perspective. Islam is a way of life. It covers every aspect of the human administration, including governing a nation.

It seems that the writer is suggesting that currently government/politics and religion are mixed. No, it is not true. The writer should learn to understand that it is this that is causing the problem and not the other way.
