No sane person can question the terror of Sept 11 which shook the world. The Americans have the right and might to hunt down the dangerous lunatics who set the world on fire. Bring them to justice. Restore the world's confidence in law and order. Give peace, prosperity and hope back to the people.

However, the Americans, and British Premier Tony Blair, seem to have made a quantum leap to brand the Afghans as the perpetrators. All because Osama bin Laden is reputedly in hiding in Afghanistan.

The World Trade Center was a symbol of international trade and nationals of several nations died in the tragic attack. The aircrafts were piloted by the enemies of mankind; whether the actual hijackers were Arabs or Afghans or Iranians or Colombians or Irish, is immaterial. They were criminals of the highest order.

We know Armageddon has come to Afghanistan. The daily rain of fire over the country is likely to make the innocent people feel confused, bewildered and utterly devastated. They do not know why they are being attacked. They are mainly illiterate people with no television or radio or access to newspapers. They can only believe what they experience, which is injustice and cruelty. British MPs have started questioning the wisdom of bombing Afghanistan.

How much damage has been inflicted on the Taliban is difficult to assess. They may have enough strength left to continue their stronghold for months while the innocent suffer and die of firepower or hunger.

The Armageddon is a wake-up call for nations which are likely to get destabilised: Iran, Tajikistan, India, even China which has Tibetans and over 60 million Chinese Muslims.

While Tony Blair and Bush are at pains to show the world that they are not at war with Islam or the Middle East, which has other religions as well, the people of Afghanistan can only regard their declarations as delusionary rhetoric.

The perpetrators of the tragedy of Sept 11 have yet to be identified and arrested, but their so-called accomplices are bombarded and destroyed.
