I agree that MCA has not only an image problem but also a credibility problem. It bulldozed its way through the purchase of Nanyang Press Holdings in defiance of the ethnic Chinese's wishes. Our fears of editorial interference are very much confirmed as the papers concerned, Nanyang Siang Pau and China Press , are now not independently reporting events but following the agenda set by the what the powers that be.

Worst still as can be discerned now, the powers that be are using it for personal propaganda and twisting things around to influence our thinking. Luckily, we still have The Sun and malaysiakini to report things as it is. The monkeying around by the powers that be reflects not only their desperation to stay in power at all costs but is also an insult to the intelligence of the citizenry. The lopsided and twisting of reports are just too glaring that they become such a turn-off.

I have also noticed that recently, the concerns of the Chinese community are made to be the concerns of only Dr Ling Liong Sik - and he is too busy attending to them. What nonsense! Anybody in a position of power has to attend to them. I had tremendous respect for Ling until lately. It is very clear that he is using MCA-controlled papers to make a fool of the ethnic Chinese.

To all the ministers concerned, please go when the time has come before more damages are done beyond repair. Perhaps deputy president Lim Ah Lek should not retire from politics and stand for the president's post to clean up the mess.
