I refer to the Malaysiakini report Perak gov't collapses - BN claims power .

It is clear what some of our elected representatives are. People of principles? People out to serve the rakyat ? Or people out to take care of themselves first?

It is also clear that the ‘frog’ from Bota is like that of a Trojan horse, yes or no? Pakatan Rakyat must now accept that it has been outflanked and outsmarted this time around.

But the rakyat must see what is happening and decide what is best for the rakyat . The rakyat are about to lose their voice. And it looks like the one person who can return it to the rakyat is His Royal Highness, the Sultan of Perak.

The results of the 12 th general election had shown what the rakyat of Perak think of some of the component parties of BN.

Apart from Umno, only one member of one other BN component was returned, namely Mah Hang Soon of MCA. The other candidates from MIC, Gerakan and PPP were wiped out.

Surely His Royal Highness, the sultan must be fully aware of this. If the sultan allows BN - now comprising of 27 Umno reps, one MCA rep and three independents - to form the new Perak government, it is obvious he will not have a unity government reflective of all the rakyat in his state. And it is definitely not what he would want for the rakyat of his state.

Only very recently, much has been said that the sultan has the well-being of his rakyat at heart and that there is a need for him to remain neutral.

His Royal Highness, the Sultan now has a golden opportunity to show that he means what has been said. By allowing the dissolution of the Perak state assembly, he is not just showing that he is neutral but that he would be allowing his rakyat to decide who they really want to govern their state.

Please do not disappoint the rakyat of your state.

I, in all humility, would appeal to His Royal Highness, the Sultan of Perak, to consent to the dissolution of the present state assembly and allow his rakyat to point the way out of the state's present turmoil.

Daulat Tuanku.
