It was absolutely outrageous hearing what this Umno Youth deputy chief again said. Let me make myself clear, I respect this guy’s freedom of expression. But I want to stress how incomprehensible his remarks are.

First, what’s that mean by saying ‘the opposition has broken the principles of the Rukun Negara’? (in taking the Sultan of Perak to court).

I supposed Khairy Jamaluddin was talking about ‘Loyalty to King and Country’ since his rally was to declare support for the Malay Rulers. But is he suggesting a blind loyalty to the rulers?

Do not forget there are ‘the supremacy of the constitution’ and ‘the rule of law’ in Rukun Negara that every citizen in this country has to abide by. Would this not include the ruler? Who is more supreme here? The ruler or the law?

Would a ruler who commits something unlawful or illegal not be subject to the due process of the law? I suggest we leave this up to the courts to decide. But Khairy’s remarks to the crowd were indeed seditious.

What is the logic of saying ‘what did we do to those who committed treason in the old days?’ followed by ‘I order you as deputy Youth chief to do what is necessary if you see the illegal government coming’?

And, according to the vice-president of GPMS, ‘Elements like Karpal Singh who do not respect the sultans should disappear from the face of the earth’.

People, you know the consequence of uttering such comments to angry supporters.

These callings can put the lives of the menteri besar and those of the other state assembly persons in jeopardy. People act irrationally out of anger.

The saying of ‘I cannot guarantee their actions due to their anger’ could stir the sentiment of the ‘loyal’ ones to act unconstitutionally out of anger.

Also, Khairy’s call of someone being the modern day Malay traitor? I must say, he is the modern day Malay traitor!

Also, didn’t Umno protest against the Sultan of Terengganu on the appointment of Menteri Besar Ahmad Said? So who is the traitor here?

I urge that those who stand for justice to please lodge a police report to have Khairy Jamaluddin investigated for his provocative remarks that could potentially be life-threatening to the representatives of the people.

Not only should Khairy be removed from his Umno Youth’s post if he fails to apologise for his doing, but he also should be sued for RM30 billion for calling on his loyal supporters to do what is so-called ‘necessary’.

Finally, my call to all youth leaders, be a true protestant! Use your excess energy to do something constructive. There is a lot of dirty politics out there that you can protest against.
