The CLP controversy is only the tip of a long list of controversial decisions made in the field of education. It is a real shame that even people from the legal fraternity had their marks adjusted.

It has been obvious that this has been going on for a long time.

Have we stooped so low as to adjust marks for 'certain' students. What kind of lawyers are we going to have in this country?

The results of all those whose failing marks had been adjusted should be double-checked and their names published in the newspapers.

We must weed out all those who have passed by dubious means. These are the people who must re-sit the CLP exams.

However, this is nothing new. For years we have been hearing of how examiners in the various universities are forced to adjust examination marks for certain students. The authorities who are responsible for these disgusting and degrading policy should ponder on what kind of students they are bringing forth.

Surely we don't want to be saddled with half-baked 'professionals' who will eventually lead this country down the drain.

Do these people honestly think that those who genuinely deserved to do better, but have been deprived of better opportunities, will have any respect for those who graduated dubiously?

Perhaps we can understand why there are pencil poking medical doctors today.
