I refer to the letter Zambry: Emergency sitting a threat to national security .

The evil incompetent corrupt bBN/Umno regime claims that what Perak Speaker V Sivakumar has done is against the Perak constitution. However that is tipu , it's quite allowed for in the constitution of Perak.

Te BN/Umno regime is making a court case to get ruling from a subservient, corrupt court that will side with BN/Umno. The next step will be action taken by BN/Umno against Sivakumar and Menteri Besar Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin for ignoring a court order.

BN/Umno will clearly do and say anything to hold on to power. Already BN/Umno are harassing bloggers, in violation of guarantees against censorship of the Internet.

BN/Umno is closing avenues for the rakyat to express themselves and to change Malaysia in to a democratic society. As those avenues close, Malaysians are left with fewer alternatives.

The mood in the various blogs is turning ugly, people saying they are fed up, now is the time for action, not words only, that type of talk. I is clear that at some point, Malaysians will lose patience and take to the streets in large numbers, perhaps millions.

As an alternative to a large-scale riot, malaysians can go on a general strike, a hartal . If a hartal fails to oust BN/Umno, I predict that BN/Umno’s behaviour will only get worse and Malaysia may enter into a civil war, with the rakyat having to oust BN/Umno by force.

However, there is an alternative if BN/Umno and the rakyat agree. Malaysia can take a lesson from South Africa. South Africa peacefully transformed itself from a repressive society into a democracy.

If Malaysia does what South Africa did, there is chance for peaceful transition of government and transformation of society. Following the South African model would mean giving up the ability to punish/exact retribution/revenge against those state officials who oppressed society.

Not following the South African model could plunge Malaysia into an era of conflict as the government, fearing retribution, tries to hang onto power by any means it can.

If the South African model can be implemented in Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim could become the ‘Mandela of Malaysia’, leading Malaysia to peace, prosperity, equality and justice for all Malaysians including for BN/Umno members, the police, etc.

Here's something to consider, what future do we want for our beloved country and how do we ensure ourselves of achieving that future?

The aftermath of a bloody civil war would take many years to overcome so I hope BN/Umno will realise that they should peacefully give up power otherwise they will be destroyed, along with the progress Malaysia has made since independence from the British.

Whether Malaysia becomes a true democracy or a failed state gripped by civil war is now clearly up to BN/Umno. It is now up to BN/Umno to choose how they want future generations to remember them.

BN/Umno has to make the choice between future generations knowing them as destroyers of Malaysia or future generations giving thanks that BN/Umno allowed Malaysia to continue to develop in peace.
