Just had a thought after reading Tee Lin Dee's letter ('Why are the men whining now?', Dec 8).

Take two women - Zena the Warrior Princess in her revealing outfit and a meek young girl all modestly dressed up. Who do you think a rapist is going to target? I'd say he'd be too "chicken" to try raping Zena. He'd satisfy his aggression and ego on the easy target.

Again, I say the solution to rape, wife beating and sexual harassment is the empowerment of women. Men have got to stop thinking of women as defenseless creatures whom they can take advantage of and get away with it.
