Chong Yen Long, malaysiakini's news editor, is resigning from the company effective March 1. Chong joined malaysiakini in February last year, and has helped anchor the news team with his extensive experience in journalism.

Aside from editing duties he also wrote the 'Ruminations' column, which appeared in malaysiakini . He wrote his last column this week, entitled [#1] To do or die ... of short memories and word spinning [/#].

Malaysiakini thanks Chong for his service and hard work, and wishes him well in his future endeavours.
