English newspapers
Both New Straits Times and the Star headlined that BN and Pakatan maintained their status quo in the tri-elections yesterday. BN's Malcom Mussen Lamoh, PAS' Mohamad Nizar Jamaluddin and PKR's S Manikumar were the victors in Batang Ai, Bukit Gantang and Bukit Selambau respectively.
Malay newspapers
Similarly, Utusan Malaysia and Berita Harian also led with the tri-election results yesterday.
Tamil newspapers
All Tamil newspapers - Makkal Osai, Malaysia Nanban and Tamil Nesan - also headlined Pakatan's wins in retaining the two ‘bukits' and BN's win in Batang Ai.

New Straits Times stated that the results of the tri-elections were a reality check for Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's administration to restore electors' faith in BN's ability to change within the present electoral term.
Utusan Malaysia urged the conventional and alternative media to be fair and responsible in their reports.
Commenting on Najib's recent statement on media, Berita Harian opined that world-class media must report based on facts in a fair manner.
Similarly, Malaysia Nanban also highlighted Najib's call to the media.
Makkal Osai highlighted American president Barack Obama's efforts in boosting America's relations with other countries.
Tamil Nesan highlighted that 128,295 students would be registering for their tertiary education.
