PKFZ fiasco: 'Sack Chor from Finance Ministry'
‘The report is damning enough of Chor's misconduct. Having a person of such lax scruples in the Finance Ministry is a threat to the country's coffers.'
On PKFZ report: Three top politicians named
Maniam Sankar: Before any other action on the PKFZ report, the PM and MCA must show their commitment to address the issue by removing Chor from the Finance Ministry.
This is something completely within their power and should be done forthwith.
The report is damning enough of Chor's misconduct. Having a person of such lax scruples in the Finance Ministry is a threat to the country's coffers.
These facts were known long ago and still President Ong of MCA found it fit to recommend Chor for the ministry. Ong and the PM should explain themselves.
Get rid of him and subject him to investigation. The investigation cannot be full if he retains any post. Do it now.
Andrew: 'Conflict of interest?' Since when was ‘conflict of interest' an issue for BN politicians?
As far as the BN is concerned, there is no such concept in their lexicon.
Instead, BN politicians only look for ‘opportunities' - to advance the ‘country's interests' of course.!
Problems only arise when they get caught. And even then, can ‘kau tim' with the MACC and the BN's top bananas.
On Audit: PKFZ cost to balloon up to RM12bil
Ong: The report is made public because the minister has earlier instructed Lee Hwa Beng the chairman of PKA to do so.
And now Lee Hwa Beng says he has lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency because:
‘The transport minister has instructed me to lodge a report with the MACC tomorrow morning at 8am'.
Clearly this man who holds the post of chairperson of PKA has no initiative and no sense of dignity at all.
He behaves like a clerk and only does things when the minister instructs him.
Looks like the PKA will still have a gloomy future with him as chairperson.
Teokeloomangoop: As this scandal blows up and the extent of the financial impact grows (RM12 billion?), let all citizens voice our concern that once again EPF funds were used to bail out failed enterprises.
This must not happen!
Let all the guilty parties pay for this mess. Let's freeze their assets while this investigation is going on.
Or maybe it's already too late as the stolen money has been squirreled away somewhere...
On Kit Siang: Probe the puppet masters
Ong: ‘The PKA chairperson is only a puppet. The masters were Ling and Chan,' said Lim Kit Siang.
In fact, the behaviour of Ong Tee Keat and Lee Hwa Beng reinforce Kit Siang's claim.
PKA chairperson Lee Hwa Beng ordered the audit by PWC under instructions from minister Ong Tee Keat.
The PKA chairperson also released the audit report under the minister's instructions, and finally the PKA chairperson was instructed to report to the MACC by his minister.
It is obvious the PKA chairperson's role is, as described by Kit Siang, to be a ‘puppet'.
