MOSCOW - Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad will pay an official three-day visit to Russia starting March 14, the Malaysian embassy in Moscow told RIA Novosti today.

Mahathir will hold talks with Russian leaders focussing on the current international situation and bilateral ties, an embassy spokesman said.

The military cooperation is also expected to bulk large on the agenda.

Russia announced last October that it would export anti-tank missile systems to Malaysia under the terms of a partnership deal dating back to 1994, when Russia sold MiG-29 fighter jets to Malaysia. (AFP)
