Hong Sun was at work during the incident, said Ismail, adding that Keat Lee's body had been sent to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre.
A woman who lives in a block opposite and wished to remain anonymous said she saw a man shouting for help from the balcony of the 32nd-floor condominium.
"I heard him shout for help after he was apparently trapped by a fire at the condominium," she said.
She said she came down from her unit to alert the security guards of the incident.
Maid hears a loud explosion
A Thai woman who works as a maid at a condominium on the 29th floor said she
heard a loud explosion from above her unit.
The maid, who had started work there only 10 days ago, came down from her unit to save herself after seeing fire and smoke.
The fire and rescue department dismissed any foul play in the incident though the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
