New Straits Times suggested that the influenza A (H1N1) outbreak can be curbed if an effective public health policy is in place. This should focus on engaging and maintaining the public trust through more testing facilities, intensive care units and stocks of anti-viral drugs, rather than threatening the public with punishment.

Utusan Malaysia said the MACC should go on with its investigations on politicians despite being attacked by the opposition.

Berita Harian also said the MACC should not give up probing politicians as it is merely enforcing the law.
