Poison-pen books attack Anwar, S'gor MB

Moontime: I presume that this book was written by a Malay who does not have non-Malay friends, was brought up in a 100 percent Malay school, never interacted with non-Malays in a positive manner - in short, never trusted them.

Why target Anwar Ibrahim? Simple. The Special Branch has proof he is an American "puppet", willing to sell the country to the new colonialist. I don't believe it at all. The ultimate aim of this book is to sow hatred against the non-Malays hoping that the May 13 incident will happen again. Well, I have news for you - the author of this book. It ain’t gonna happen again. I trust my non-Malay friends more.

Disgusted: I have very good Malay friends, good Malay neighbours, relatives who have married Malays who do not discriminate us as ‘kafirs’ but accept us as one of their own, and many Malay clients and associates who treat me with respect and equality.

As such, I don't need Umno Malays as friends who are out to destroy Malaysian Malays' friendship and unity with other fellow Malaysians of other races. Most Malays who are educated and cultured are race blind and value true friendship and relationship with other Malaysians irrespective of race or religion. They want to live in peace and harmony with others and prosper together.

Mead: As an outsider who has been in the UK for a few decades now, I do not have to read the whole of the above article to conclude that Malaysia is still in the grips of an immature political system whereby as usual the Malays, or its dominant representatives including the Umno, are still harping on their special position in the country and the rest, ie. the non-Malays should be grateful they are still allowed to reside in Malaysia and not sent back to China, etc.

Until these so-called leaders become more sincere and be more giving and less childish in their thinking about the well-being of the country and all its peoples as Malaysians, another 50 years will only see the country moving backwards in this fast moving world. Now that would tragic as it already is.

Whistle-blower's letter puts MACC on trial

Hardtail: What touches me most about the mystery letter was that it was signed off with a ‘Berkhidmat Untuk Negara Yang Dicintai’. The writers of the letter are real patriots and these are the people the our country really needs at this moment... not some slogan chanting, money and power grabbing evil schemers that are destroying Malaysia for their own gains.

Faye: How can MACC deputy chief Abu Kassim Mohamed be standing in front of delegates from 21 countries to preach them about anti-corruption practice ala Malaysia and be standing tall and be proud about it.

How can he said that his officers who read the letter said that all the allegations are untrue. All? To the delegates from the 21 countries - stop coming to Malaysia to listen to such crap, unless of course, you are from Zimbabwe.

KeepYourHead: I support that MACC must investigate regardless of the person status and background, but what is MACC priority? Was it worth taxpayers money to investigate RM2,400 case? Isn't that MACC is suppose to stop widespread corruption in the police and government.

Since its inception, has the corruption in these places reduced? Are the government servants and politicians found it high risk and reduce their corruption? Or it is just obstructing the people-elected representatives to do their daily work to serve the people?

The MACC has continue to fail its original objectives, achieving miserable conviction rate. I propose that MACC be dissolved and set up the IPCMC instead. It’s because MACC has become a useless institution, serving only the political master, not the people.

Tan Kian Khim: MACC chief Ahmad Said is thuggish and unprofessional, so much so that he does not even pretend to hide his blatant partisanship, preferring to flaunt it in public instead. Clearly, there are very significant 'membership benefits' for him as MACC chief to 'play ball' with the Umno-BN regime.

His son, Ahmad Shauqi, was arrested in Australia in possession of child pornography a few months ago, but the incident was very quickly hushed up by our very obliging mainstream media. Ahmad Said's own response at the time was saying: "I am sure it is something you will find on most men's handphones."

It betrays a complete lack of principles and an apologist mentality, either of which should have long disqualified him from holding the post of MACC chief. It does not take a Nobel prize winner to guess that the potential disclosure of his son's perversity might be one of the (many) levers that his political masters use to pull his strings.
