MACC's last-minute revelations or diversions?

vox populi small thumbnail "The evidence given by Anuar has no value. It is hearsay evidence. Because he says," he was informed" of what happened in the toilet."

Witness: Teoh was bickering with Tan

Bosco Philip Anthony : The evidence given by Anuar has no value. It is hearsay evidence. Because he says," He was informed" of what happened in the toilet. This is an inquest into a death. The hearsay evidence should be discarded.

Loyal Malaysian

: The dead have no voice! So, Beng Hock had an argument with Tan. What are you trying to say? Still trying to hoodwink the public that Beng Hock was released from MACC custody at 3.45am? Why was his handphone still in MACC's hands 2 days after his death?

Myop101 : Someone should actually ask this officer, what are they arguing about and how did he ascertain they were arguing? He should be aware, some Chinese from certain dialect clans do talk loud, sounding as though they're arguing. What more in the toilet, due to echoes, sound resonates louder. It seems like he is trying to imply that there is some sort of conspiracy going round.

Lucia: What? Is MACC now trying to shift the blame to Tan? What other devious ways are they going to try to escape from the blame of Teoh's death? Anyway, I don't believe at all that no force was used on Teoh during the interrogation!

Louis

: "Asked about the MACC operating round-the-clock, Mohd Anuar explained that this was necessary because some witnesses who worked during the day would ask to have their statements recorded at night so as not to disrupt their work". That was the most hypocritical statement as far as Teoh was concerned. Who the hell in the world would subject himself to questioning for the whole night and then goes to work the next day?

Ean Yong denies kickback claims

P Dev Anand Pillai : One wonders how come, the millions squandered by the Umno reps before this was not investigated at all? This is what happens if one party is in power for 52 years. That's why the Americans have put it in their constitution: two terms and that's it. The journey has come to an end, the people must wake up or else they will put us back to sleep again for a long time to come.

Eddy

: Aiyah, YB Ean, no need to panic and declare your innocence to the public. It is just an ongoing investigation. Maybe you'll get lucky and there'll be insufficient evidence so the MACC would just keep your case in the file.

Hello : I remember someone said that if you keep repeating a lie often enough, people will start believing you! Maybe this is the tactic of the MACC and its officers! But they did not realise that people are not as gullible nowadays. A murder is a murder and no amount of lies will change this!

Tan Min Fui : How does one consider Rm112 as kickback? It just about pays for a tank full of petrol. Won't even be enough to pay for a sit-down dinner in a run-down chinese restaurant for the family! My goodness! How much of taxpayers' money is spent on this case anyway? Definitely more than Rm112.

Loyal Malaysian:

For the sake of argument, let's say Beng Hock did take kickbacks. Does it mean he deserves to die at the hands of the MACC? You cannot absolve yourself of the fact that for all intents and purposes Beng Hock was in MACC custody despite your claims he was released at 3.45am. That is an outright lie, not substantiated by the facts of the case. The MACC must be brought to account. Justice for Beng Hock!

Ken : Did Beng Hock take RM112 kickback from DAP funds? Frankly I find this allegation by MACC insulting. A serious investigator won't even bother with this trifling amount as it would most likely be reimbursement for expenses such as petrol, toll, stationary, food and refreshment, etc. MACC exhibit the symptoms of a diseased mind by chasing after tiny sums while ignoring millions involving BN politicians. Incidentally this RM112 allegation was also made by the T4BH anonymous black blog. This gives credence to the suspicion that MACC was responsible for the T4BH black blog. Shame on you, MACC!

Water & War with S'pore: Dr M responds

Habib RAK: This is a very serious allegation by the deputy prime minister about Singapore threatening war. Threatening war is not a laughing matter. In any negotiation, such ultimatums only bring the worst response from those being threathened.

Even Tun M himself said, "If he (Lee Kuan Yew) had done that, I think I would have stopped any further supply.

Wong Chee Kong :Which is which now? Did Singapore threaten us with war? The ex-PM said they didn't but the present DPM said they did. The problem with the leadership is that two different people tend to say different things. Both are supposedly to be very senior government ministers. So one must be a liar. And they always leave it to the people to speculate who is the liar.
