Former Terengganu menteri besar Idris Jusoh said there was no truth in the claim that nine Terengganu Umno assemblypersons, including Rosol Wahid, will be joining PKR.
Former Terengganu menteri besar Idris Jusoh said there was no truth in the claim that nine Terengganu Umno assemblypersons, including Rosol Wahid, will be joining PKR.
The Jerteh assemblyperson, who is also Mara chairman, said he did not see any indications from the assemblypersons, especially Rosol, who was seated beside him in the state assembly that they had such plans.
"In fact, at the opening of the state assembly sitting , they had all worn the colour of Barisan Nasional and that was not planned. This indicates they still strongly support BN," he told reporters today.
Yesterday, Rosol had denied a report by a news portal that he and eight other Umno assemblypersons in the state were planning to leave the party to join PKR.
In PUTRAJAYA, Terengganu Umno liaison chairperson Hishammuddin Hussein, when commenting on the matter, said issues cropping up in Terengganu may sometimes not reflect the actual situation at the grassroots.
"We see the people and Umno members are close," he told reporters.
