Lucia : this is very silly (and insulting and embarrassing to some Muslims too I'm sure). They should let the individual Muslims decide, not impose rules on them. To say that these concerts will corrupt the minds of the young Muslim is indeed insulting to the Muslim. Why, they don't have enough trust in their own fellow young Muslims? Let the individual decide because ultimately religion is between one's self and god, not between one's self and some authority.

Wira : If you want Dr Chua to be out of the party, the leadership should have barred him from contesting the MCA election, like what UMNO did to suspect candidates. You don't take action after the guy had won the deputy president post, certainly not after the delegates had exonerated him.

Louis : Even though Chua might have owned up his unbecoming action it does not absolve him from the wrong. Hence, it would be better for him to go. Don't tell me that MCA is so short of talents . Freddy Kluger : Ong fired Chua to preserve himself. Ong's presidency is being eroded from within and without in recent months. MCA was already dysfunctional with divided camps before the recent onslaught against him by Tiong and Kuala Dimensi over the PKFZ corruption's allegations. It is a pre-emptive strike against Chua. I have a low opinion of MCA generally and Ong specifically, but I wish Ong well and that he will have the gumption and gall to go down fighting.

: I think Chua should just accept his fate and move on with life. Being tainted with this 'sex' exposure, he surely will be subject to 'blackmail' should he return to take over from Ong. In my opinion it is too early to judge Ong's performance. His no-compromise attitude may turn him into a one-term wonder.

Kb : The ones who expelled Chua should come down from their moral high horse and look at themselves. The difference between most of them and Chua is that Chua was caught and they were not. But Chua's privacy was violated and it was a criminal action orchestrated by his political enemies. This criminal invasion of privacy has not even been investigated by the police, much less prosecuted. This moral transgression is for Chua to answer to his wife and not to the disciplinary committee. If the majority of delegates have forgiven and accepted Chua, it is not for committee to judge him further.
