As Pakatan quarrels, BN goes for the jugular

Lau Weng San: There should have been a change of power in this country a long time ago but because it did not happen then, we have to wait more than 50 years. What we are experiencing now is the growing pains of the nation. To suggest that we go back to the BN just because they never quarrel is a childish thought. It is certain that all of us have to move forward. We shall not look back except if we want to learn from history.

Suhaimi bin Said: The rakyat is not ‘bodoh ' . In Perak, BN failed to heed the call for a fresh mandate. Why? Because BN knows very well that Pakatan Rakyat would win. In Selangor, the rakyat has tasted the fruits of change and they will not revert to the corrupt BN government.

Bob : Note that there are many Trojan horses even in Pakatan. Money can buy anything nowadays. So do we blame Pakatan or the Trojan horses who have set the trends for the last 52 years? Kudos to Khalid, our water bill has reduced tremendously, not forgetting assessment charges being reduced, adding up to a few hundred ringgits saved per household.

Chee Hoe Siew : As I have posted many times before, Pakatan needs to clean up its own house. It must understand who the enemy is. It will probably be beneficial for all Pakatan members to study history and learn the cause of the downfall of all empires.

Empires do not fall because of external attacks, they fall because of the corruption inside. I am really sad to see that even before the real victory, there is so much power tussling.

Asian Malaysian: "A house divided against itself cannot stand." The house in question is not Pakatan or BN but Malaysia itself. The underlying conflicts of race and religion that plague this nation cannot be cured by being swept under the carpet or treated as the problem of one party or another. The time has come for good people from both BN and Pakatan to state their stand and stick to it no matter what.

Khairy slams Pakatan for convening Perak assembly

Ibrahim Yaacob : Khairy, go do something constructive, like looking for the 3,000 phantom voters in Pematang Pasir which you said existed.

GDS: What gives Khairy the idea that the people of Perak have accepted the BN government? Everyone knows how BN took over Perak. Did he carry out a referendum in Perak to get the views of the people? Please don't take us for small kids.

Kumaradeva S Maniveloo : Khairy, how could you be so ignorant? When did the people accept BN? If you really want to show that the people accept BN, dissolve the state assembly and call for fresh elections.

'Spiderman' fined RM2,000 for scaling Twin Towers

Bcsoh : By fining a great man like Alain, it will only bring shame to the country and become a PR disaster. Malaysia is a place without compassion. Instead, he should be asked to do some community service and to train our youth, climbers and firemen.

C Frankland: He had to be fined as a deterrent, otherwise hundreds of aspiring Malaysian spidermen would scale the towers, with shrieks of "Malaysia Boleh".

David Yau : Other countries pay him to climb and even provide logistic support but here in Bolehland, we fine him for criminal trespassing. Something is not right here.

BangsaMalaysia : If a disabled person with no weapons or tools was able to get past the security of the Twin Towers, it shows just how lax our security is. I guess they had to arrest Alain in the name of law and order and charge him in court. Thankfully our magistrate did not order a jail sentence.

But how about heads rolling in the company that is charged with maintaining the security of the Twin Towers? Do we want to wait till someone plants a bomb before we act?

Sam: What a disgrace that this man should be fined for such an incredible feat of bravery and daring.
