Prime Minister Najib Razak said the report prepared by the special task force on the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) that was submitted to him yesterday will be tabled at the weekly cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

najib 100 day bash 110709 najib 02 "The investigation is still going on and the police have frozen the accounts of Kuala Dimensi (Sdn Bhd) and we will make follow-up decisions based on the report by the special task force from the various aspects, (as well as) a police investigation," he told reporters after inspecting the condition of the Public Works Department quarters at Jalan Cheras, here today.

"Another thing that we want to do concerns the future of the PKFZ," Najib ( left) said.

He was responding to questions by reporters on the report prepared by the special task force on the PKFZ that was submitted to him in Putrajaya yesterday.

One hour meeting with PM

NONE Transport Minister Ong Tee Keat (right) , together with members of the special task force including its head, lawyer Vinayak Pradhan, from the legal firm Skrine, had held a meeting with Najib for one hour at the Prime Minister's office.

Members of the special task force included Lim Chee Wee, from Skrine, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Advisory Services managing director Chin Kwai Fatt, and PwC senior executive director Lim San Peen.

The special task force, which was formed by the Transport Ministry in June together with a corporate governance committee and an executive committee, has two months to produce its recommendations pertaining to the PKFZ audit report.

On a bonus for government employees in conjunction with the Hari Raya festive season, Najib, who is also finance minister 1, said: "Please wait."

"Wait while the KSN (chief secretary to the government Mohd Sidek Hassan) is having discussions with Cuepacs and other parties," he added.
