Two detained over Bangsar Shan's kidnap case
Police have detained two men believed to be involved in the kidnapping of a businessman known as 'Bangsar Shan' who was abducted by four men impersonating policemen in Kajang on Aug 29.
Police have detained two men believed to be involved in the kidnapping of a businessman known as 'Bangsar Shan' who was abducted by four men impersonating policemen in Kajang on Aug 29.
Selangor Criminal Investigation Department chief SAC II Hasnan Hassan in a press statment said the two suspects were known as 'Vikram', 40, and 'Cendol Kanna', 32.
He said they were detained around the Kajang area yesterday based on a police report made by the victim's wife.
Both men were remanded for four days beginning yesterday till Sept 10.
Hasnan said police had yet to find the 40-year-old victim and he also denied the involvement of police personnel in the case.
"We are trying to look for other suspects and the cooperation of the public is very much needed," he said.
