Khir has a marathon session with MACC

Kengan : Marathon session indeed. Teoh Beng Hock was interrogated overnight over a mere few thousand ringgit allegation while the cases involving Mohd Khir Toyo run into millions. Why the double standard?

Why is RM2,400 so urgent to warrant a night interrogation but million ringgit cases can be investigated in the daytime? Why is Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) lightning fast in acting against opposition politicians but Khir's case can be delayed for so many months?

Ahmad Iqhbal : Come now MACC, I dare you prove to us all that you are really out to catch the corrupt and not simply be a tool of BN.

Ong : Who knows what actually happened during the six-hour session? For all we know Khir Toyo and the MACC officers could have been having a good time reminiscing about the jolly good times they had together when he was still heading Selangor.

Slipper garland for Dr M: MIC delegate suspended

Leon Chan :If not for the outburst of S Samy Vellu against Dr Mahathir Mohamad in the beginning, I believe the delegate wouldn't have acted in such a way.

The MIC president has openly attacked him, therefore it is perceived that he is against him. Hence, the delegate was just expressing his unhappiness (in a rude manner) towards Tun in support of Samy Vellu. Can't really blame the delegate.

Samy Vellu should have been more composed. He should have responded to Tun's comment in a more controlled manner.

Pgkia : This shows that MIC does not have any power in BN. You are not even allowed to defend your president from the attack. What makes you think this people can defend your rights. So Bagan Pinang folks, you know who to vote for now.

When BN state government sell off Kampung Buah Pala land, MIC is very quiet, now they are making noise as Pakatan is the government. So in order for MIC to have power to make noise, you guys need to ensure Pakatan rules your state. This way we are actually helping MIC to get back their guts! And MIC should thank us for voting Pakatan.

Aj: Now we have the little "tuans" jumping up and down screaming bloody murder because the ex-big "tuan" has been slighted. You have to understand the sensitivity factor. What a joke.

Malaysian1957: Right action, although a bit delayed. Disrespect of such a nature - be it for a leader like Mahathir or any others, no matter what race should not be tolerated. Such delegates are a shame as they are unable to communicate anger in a civilised manner and choose to become heroes by trying to shame others. They bring shame to themselves in the end.

Buah Pala: Police report lodged against developer

Koh Tat Jiang : Did Lim Guan Eng really say he would "save" Kampung Buah Pala if he won the election? This implies that Lim knew he would become chief minister before the election results and made all sorts of electoral promises.

Ck: I think the Kampung Buah Pala situation would happen whether BN or Pakatan Rakyat formed the government in Penang. To blame the government of the day is typical of these people. I am not affected but I sympathise with those affected people who lived there for so many years.

Thomas Foo : There were no promises made but a letter of offer was extended to the Kampung Buah Pala folk. Firstly a 200,000 single storey house then a 500,000 double storey house. Not satisfied they further asked for two years rental compensation. Wouldn't you call this greed?

Au Yong: By going to Najib Razak and criticising those who have tried to help does not endear you to the rakyat . If Najib is so free that he can meet you, then he has a different agenda.

Myop101 : Whether Najib is sincere or not, let's see how the events unfold. For the demolition works, didn't these 12 homeowners sign for compensation? If they did sign, what are they signing then? Could someone be kind enough to obtain a copy and post it in the net? At least we can judge for ourselves what they signed.

I am actually quite confused by the reports because on one hand, the homeowners said they haven't received any concrete plans while on another hand, the developers claimed to have given them such plans. And of course, the Penang state government has been silent and washed their hands on this matter.
