Suspended MCA deputy president Dr Chua Soi Lek today lashed out at his nemesis and party president Ong Tee Keat, calling him the 'grandfather of all nonsense'.

NONE He also appealed to MCA members, especially the delegates, to stay calm and be united in the interest of the party.

"Do not allow the party to be used as an instrument only by the president in his fight.

"It is a party for all members and let the delegates decide the future of the leaders and direction of the party," he said.

Chua was speaking to reporters at Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's Hari Raya open house at Sri Perdana here today.

Is CC more supreme than EGM?

On the central committee's (CC) decision to suspend him for four years, Chua asked: "Are they trying to say the CC is more supreme than the extraordinary general meeting (EGM)?"

MCA will hold an EGM on Oct 10 to solve a crisis plaguing the party.

NONE "I will leave it to the wisdom of the MCA delegates to decide my fate and I believe they will make a wise decision in the interest of the party," he said.

On the setting up of a new party, Chua again denied the widely-held speculation.

"There is no such thing. Starting a new party is a nonsense created by my president to smear my name," he said.
