The fate of Badrul Hisham Abdullah as the PKR Port Klang assemblyperson will be known by the end of this month.

Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said although he had not yet met Badrul Hisham in person, he had indicated to him to cooperate with the state government.

"I will decide (on the matter) at the end of this month. I have indicated to him to cooperate and work together with Pakatan Rakyat.

"After all, he was elected by the people of Port Klang, so he needs to continue to provide services to the people in the area," he told reporters at a book launch, here, today.

Badrul Hisham has been plagued by controversies and complaints from his constituents that he has been neglecting his duties as a state assemblyman.

Speculation is rife that he is defecting to Umno.
