Need six more years to fatten more ‘cows'? Two to three years is a reasonable amount of time for the companies involved to prepare for the changes. The year 2015 to completely scrap the AP scheme? By then, the country most likely would be already bankrupt!

At issue is the role of the ‘submitting person' in the design, supervision and construction of the said suspension bridge. Was it properly designed to a Malaysian building code? Had the local authority insisted on a qualified person to submit such a plan?

KLeo: What a terrible, terrible tragedy. I hope the rescue team manages to find the two missing children. Good on Pakatan for their concern on this issue but I appeal to them not to use this for their own political gain. Pakatan supporters like me would be extremely angry if they did.

Tony: The person who will benefit most from this is (Sapp chief) Yong Teck Lee. Those who abandon Pakatan Rakyat will most likely throw their support to his party.

He made the right move by not merging with Pakatan because he knew that it will restrict the number of reps he can field for the next general election (GE).

Whereas by being independent, he can field as many as he like. Sabahans will give him a good mandate in the next GE, perhaps strong enough for him to form the next state government.

Pakatan will probably play second fiddle by being the junior partner. It's a win-win situation for everybody except BN. Sabahans will get a ‘local' government and BN and Umno will be kicked out of Sabah.

Sarajun Hoda: This Jeffrey Kitingan fella is the biggest ‘frog' ever born on Malaysian soil. Everywhere he goes, he creates trouble and then goes ‘jumping' again.

Every politician in Sabah knows he is a liability. PKR made very big mistake taking him in in the first place. He has cheated his brother before. I am surprised this Jeffrey fella is still tolerated in Sabah politics. Look at his track record.

Ong: Those who keep on harping on Jeffrey Kitingan's past should also remember Anwar Ibrahim's past involvement in the atrocities and corruption committed by Dr Mahathir Mohamad before their fallout.
