A man pleaded guilty at a Magistrate's Court two days ago, to defacing a picture of the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah, at the Perak Royal Golf Club in Ipoh.

The 40-year-old, who admitted to scratching the picture about 10pm last Saturday, would be sentenced in two weeks, Ipoh police chief ACP Azisman Alias said today.

He said the man, from Kuala Lumpur, was charged under Section 427/447 of the Penal Code for vandalism.
