Several parliamentarians today continued to criticise the actions of three DAP leaders, including the party's advisor Lim Kit Siang, who stepped on a poster depicting three independent Perak state assemblymen on Sunday.

Ismail Mohamed Said (BN-Kuala Krau) said Lim, who is also Ipoh Timur parliamentarian, should have set a good example and given good advice to party members.

Ismail said the actions of the DAP leaders could affect the arrival of tourists as it was feared that they would assume Malaysia faced political instability.

Ismail praised various efforts by the Tourism Ministry to draw tourists despite a sluggish global economy.

Mohamad Aziz (BN-Seri Gading), who interrupted, said the stepping action can lead to various problems and can incite racial tension.

Ismail Abdul Muttalib (BN-Maran) called on all MPs to be more careful with their actions.

"Sometimes our actions are quite bad. We know that to attract tourists we must have good destinations, a good culture including good actions and the like," he said.
