A booth at the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) exhibition meant to explain the Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's much touted 1Malaysia concept has left more questions than answers.

NONE Initially, the '1Malaysia laboratory' booth was meant to be the centrepiece of the two-day exhibition to showcase to define the government's 1Malaysia concept.

According to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Koh Tsu Koon, the unveiling of the '1Malaysia laboratory' has been postponed to later this month in order to consider more feedback from federal ministries.

However, the Information Ministry prepared a 1Malaysia booth, albeit at corner, to highlight Najib‘s 100 days as prime minister from April 3 to July 11.

Unlike all the other booths at the exhibition, mainly to explain the government's six National Key Results Area (NKRA), the 1Malaysia booth did not provide any facilitators to answer questions.

The closest thing that came to explaining the 1Malaysia concept was a poster describing it as resolving around two aspects - "core of unity" and "values of aspiration".

NONE According to the posters, these two aspects would propel the country into a "developed nation".

It was observed that the booth was the least visited at the exhibition, although some visitors were seen happily taking pictures next to the many 1Malaysia paraphernalia.

In another development, Koh announced that the GTP exhibition had attracted 5,000 visitors and about 1,000 feedback forms, mostly received by the booth on combating crime.

The exhibition at the Sunway Convention Centre, Petaling Jaya revolved around six exhibition booths to highlight the six NKRA, which was supported by public lectures and dialogue sessions with members of the public.
