Security firm owner P Krishnan has grown weary of being kept in the dark about the investigations pertaining to a series of reports lodged by him against MIC president S Samy Vellu.

Since 2007, he has filed five reports with the police and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over a land issue.

Met this morning, Krishnan told Malaysiakini that he has given the police a two-week deadline to get back to him.

"I have lodged so many reports but they keep giving me excuses," he lamented.

His reports concern Samy Vellu's alleged 'hijacking' of a three-acre plot of land, which he speculated is worth around RM30 million now.

The land was part of the six acres meant for SRJK (T) Effingham in Bandar Utama, where Krishnan's son had studied until last year.

He has also furnished the authorities with documentary proof to show that Samy Vellu is the beneficiary of the land.

On Dec 17, he filed a report with the MACC, asking them to inform him of the status of their investigations pertaining to two of his earlier reports lodged in 2007 and this year respectively.

Land meant for party office

Previously, PKR's Subang parliamentarian R Sivarasa had also accused MIC of robbing the land from the school.

However, MIC vice-president Dr S Subramaniam denied there was any hanky-panky involved in the process of obtaining the land for the party.

Subsequently, a petition was launched by a non-government organisation to reclaim the three acres.

The school was built in 2001 by Paramount Sdn Bhd and consists of a three storey building, canteen and field.

Documents from the Petaling Land Office revealed that the remaining three acres is owned by Samy Vellu, with MIC as its trustee.

In a letter by former Selangor executive councillor K Sivalingam to then menteri besar Abu Hassan Omar in June 1999, the MIC politician said the party intends to construct an office on the plot of land.

However, the land remains vacant till this day.
