Kelantan prince Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra today took the ' yamin istizhar ' oath at the Syariah High Court to compel his wife Manohara Odelio Pinot to be loyal and pay back RM1,112,250 owed to him.

The oath, taken before Syarie Court Judge Mohd Yusof Awang, was to complete the court's ruling on Dec 13 which ordered Mahohara to be loyal and return the money owed to her husband.

   

With the oath, Manohara is now compelled to be loyal to him within 14 days and also return the money in a lump sum within 30 days.

manohara odelia pinot tengku fakhry kelantan selangor fa cup final 280409 While taking the oath, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry, who is the third son of the Sultan of Kelantan, said that the money was the plaintiff's "Dom" (personal) property and was given to Manohara before and after their marriage as loans.

He also admitted that the testimony stated in his two affidavits in regards to the case were true.

 

The prince appeared calm while pronouncing the oath and was seen smiling soon after it was done.

No rights to privileges

Outside the courtroom, he, however, declined to comment further on the proceedings.

His lawyer, Zainul Rijal Abu Bakar, however, said that if Manohara refused to adhere to the court's order, the former Indonesian model would have no rights to any privileges from her husband and would be declared as a disloyal person (nusyuz).

Manohara, however, still has the right to use her royal title of Cik Puan Temenggong.

Neither Manohara nor her representatives were present today.

On Nov 3, both her lawyers Mohd Faiz Adnan and Roshdan Sujak Rafie, withdrew

as her solicitors.
