Kelantan Umno Youth today said that PAS' ill-intended prayers against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak had backfired on the party.

Its chief, Anuar Sapian, said the party was now deluged with problems concerning, among others, corruption issues, PAS spiritual leader Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat's son-in-law's appointment as the Kelantan Menteri Besar Incorporated chief executive officer, disputes among the state executive councillors and an RM800 million legal suit.

"Allah fated all these, and maybe their prayers for the destruction of the prime minister has backfired," he told reporters.

PAS leaders told to repent

Anuar said PAS should have realised its mistakes and not commit something sinful like praying for the destruction of their Muslim brothers.

Meanwhile, Umno Youth Religious Bureau chairperson Afandi Yusof also called on PAS leaders to repent and admit their mistakes.

"If they want to claim the oil royalty, which they said they deserve, why should they go to the extent of praying for misfortune to befall the prime minister?" he chided.
